Liala Amin is a multidisciplinary artist and arts educator based in Southeastern Wisconsin. Her work explores themes of faith, spirituality, personal identity, and symbolism through mixed media painting, drawing, and textiles.
Flowing between mediums to explore the intuitive process of art making, Amin’s work includes mixed media paintings, drawings, and textiles. She views her practice as healing, emphasizing art as an outlet to express personal narratives. Amin’s work has been displayed in Midwest galleries and exhibitions and has received features in several publications. She is a current Artist in Residence at Var Gallery in Walker’s Point.
Amin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fibers from the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2014) and a Bachelor of Arts in Art Therapy from Alverno College (2024). She currently teaches art at the middle and high school levels.
