Artist Statement

At its core, art is a visual journal. Documentation and discovery.
This is an exploration of faith and spirituality, the surreal and the psyche. Owning my identity as a woman is self-empowerment, and I use it to visualize life's multifaceted nature.
My art narrates personal experiences expressed through figurative allegories and connects to God, the Divine, the source of creation and healing.
I am inspired by all facets of life. Symbols, the deepest emotions, and faith practices. I rarely start work with a definitive plan, rather I trust the process to create a free flow of patterns, colors. and imagery. Within this intuition, I find a union of creativity and transformation.

β€œIn your light, I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.” - Rumi
